Free Printable —> Al-Khaliq/The Creator

“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding.” (Quran 3:190)

As a countdown to Ramadan we are reflecting on The 99 Names of Allah by picking one name a day to discuss and create a craft for. As we reached Al - Khaliq/ The Creator I knew the book ‘Adam and God’s Creation’ was going to be a perfect pairing for our discussion. Allah as the Creator is one of the key concepts that children can comprehend from early on. We are surrounded by examples of the beautiful creations of Allah which are constant reminders for both our children and ourselves.

To me, the teaching that everything is created by Allah and each is beautiful, unique and equal is a fundamental Islamic principal and one that I hope to instill in my children. This was one of the reasons I chose to focus on these concepts in the book ‘Adam and God’s Creation’. In my opinion, we can not truly say that we believe Allah is Al- Khaliq until we also appreciate and respect all of His creations.

For our discussion we reflected on the ayah above and talked about how Allah created the heavens, the earth and everything in between including the sun, the moon and the stars. Having visual reminders is always helpful so we’ve created this sun, moon and star craft with the ayah as a way to remember and reflect on Allah as Al- Khaliq.

Step1: Cut out the shapes (sun, moon, stars and cloud)

Step 2: Color them to your liking

Step 3: Glue moon, stars and cloud onto the sun.

Step 4: Hang on the wall as a visual reminder that Allah is Al-Khaliq.
