Moon Phase Banner

Ramadan is fast approaching and talk of the moon is everywhere. To honor the upcoming launch of Lunar Learner’s first 3 books in The Prophet Series, we will be sharing a few moon related crafts.

This moon phase banner is easy to make and would be a lovely addition to your Ramadan decoration. It is a great way to get your child involved and excited about Ramadan and can be customized to your liking and skill level.

This would also be perfect craft to accompany a school story time about Ramadan. We will be using this as a craft for an upcoming ‘Welcoming Ramadan’ story time for children aged 2-5 and at my daughter’s preschool.

Be sure to let us know if you try this and don’t forget to tag us at #lunarlearners so we can see your creations.

  • Something circular to draw around (which will be the size of your moon, I used a stacking cup from my kids toys)

STEP 4:(optional)

  • Write R A M A D A N on a piece of paper and cut out each letter (7 letters :D)

  • Stick one letter on each moon phase

  • Alternatively you could write directly onto your moon pieces or use letter stickers

  • Hang up and enjoy!!!

Additional suggestions:

  • Write M U B A R A K on the back and string in the middle on an entryway (Mubarak conveniently has 7 letters too!)

  • Make two, one with Ramadan and the other with Mubarak. Perfect if you have multiple children doing the craft.

  • Decorate the moons with colors, stickers, glitter or pretty much anything.
